It will work for 12-16 hrs and then will freeze with the blue light on solid. The network disappears and no buttons on the unit respond.
The only way to reboot is to remove the power cord and the battery and then the unit will boot up and function normally for another 12 or so hours before freezing again.
All firmware is up to date and several factory resets have been performed.

There is a thread on the Netgear Community forums where several other users seem to be experiencing the issue you've described, and it seems that this is being looked into by the Netgear engineers. You may want to track this thread to see if any further information is brought to light, but in the meantime you may want to organise another replacement, as frustrating as that may be.
