Prepaid Sim Activation problems

Activation system not working for new prepaid modem. Waiting now over 48 hours! Call centre says there’s a major tech problem....really? How difficult can it be? Thought Telstra was a high tech company. How come activation process is so troublesome? When will it be fixed? Enough resources for the area?

I have been having problems since purchasing new dongle Monday afternoon at Bribie store (after waiting 2 hours for service). They "activated" it in store- now Wed night- 7 hours on chat over last 3 nights and still no good
