Bonus data question

I signed up for a new phone and contract online this week, I chatted to a Telstra worker on "24/7 Sales Chat" who said that if I ordered online, he would add 5G/month bonus data and talked me through the purchase. He said I didn't need a special code, he would add it but now 48h later, I have received the phone in the mail and my plan is updated but does not include the bonus data, how long should it take to arrive? Have I been duped??

I have just gone through the same thing, took delivery of my new phone today, 5GB bonus data had not been applied. When I spoke to someone of your service line, they implied I needed to activate a 2nd service and proceeded to try to upsell me on a 2nd device.


Needless to say, not a great 1st up experience moving to Telstra
