Bonus data question

So I already asked if the bonus data was available to in store purchases on facebook but Telstra said no, the `1GB is only for online orders. So now I have a problem. I am currently on a business plan, but I want to sign up to a new contract on a consumer plan but keep my number. I have the forms to get it all changed over but I'm pretty sure I have to do that instore. So how can I keep my old number, switch to a consumer plan, but still get the extra 1GB of data?

It's since been annouced that you don't need to sign up online (or even for the iPhone) to now be able to get this Bonus Data offer :-)

Hi Corkers898,

The only way to get it will be to order online.

If for any reason you can't order online, then you won't be able to have this offer.

The only way I could think of, for you to be able to order online, would be if you switched your Business service to a pre-paid service, and then went online to order the iPhone 5.

We would then do a Pre-Paid to Post-Paid conversion to the Pre-Paid service with your Number attached to it, and then you'd have your Consumer plan with the 1GB extra data.

It's important to note though that you only have until the 31st of October to take up this offer online, so would need to arrange this ASAP

I think its great that i have been rewarded 100GB of data which has been added on to my 100GB i have a home , but i have never even used 100GB of data before so now i have 200GB . Why couldnt we been rewarded with another 2GB of data on our mobile phones???

This bonus data is specific to home broadband services as many customers enjoy being able to use more. Apologies if you do not find benefit in this particular offer.
