Contract upgrade

I am trying to upgrade my mobile phone plan online, howeverwhen I get to the checkout process it keeps telling me that I can't upgrade until I have paid remaining charges on my account. My account is paid in full (I am actually in credit) and my account shows this. Any thoughts on what the issue could be?
