esim on two new laptops

My small business got two new laptops. The old laptops had SIM card slots. The new ones have inbuilt eSIMs.

Can I use the old SIMs somehow to activate eSIMs in the two new laptops?

Do I need to cancel two old SIM cards and order new eSIMs?

I spent over an hour on the Telstra website and can't figure it out.

Tech chat support was very unhelpful. They didn't understand what I wanted to do at all.

Any help is much appreciated.

Re: esim on two new laptops

The process is done through the Microsoft Plans app on the Laptop - to order the service and load the eSIM onto the laptop.

I can't find anything about being able to transfer an existing SIM, only about ordering a new plan.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Re: esim on two new laptops

There seems that there is no capabilty to transfer a pyhsical SIM to an eSIM via the laptop application or from the Telstra website..

This scenario is probably best dealt with at a Telstra Store, but yoiu might need to make an appointment.
