MxPost Paid Plan discount-promised $10 discount does not appear on the purchase confirmation screen
I responded to the offer on Telstra's site for the Mx BYO mobile post paid 12mth contract, normally $49/mth, now $10/mth if you apply and manage the service online.
At the point of confirming my purchase, that $10 discount is nowhere to be seen. I had to start an online chat, seek re-assurance from the agent that the cost would in fact be $39/mth despite the fact that what is presented for me to read and approve is $49/mth. I was told that:
"Basically the $49 with $10 monthly mobile credit for existing customers is a promo offer, in which the promo offer is valid until 31/01/2017, that's the main reason that you dont see it on the website, i will not provide you a misleading information which can be a reason at the cost of my job." Surely the contract presented for confirmation of purchase should show the advertised/offered amount of $39/mth. I'm don't think that choice.com.au or the ACCC would agree that this was ethical. Does Telstra have any reason doing things this way? Cheers, Scott

This discount will appear on your bill and the full plan fee will be shown as $49. If the $10 discount is not applied on your bill, please chat here http://tel.st/hsc3 and we can make sure it's added.
