Post paid to pre paid

I am out of contract from my Telstra team connect plan and am living overseas so am wanted to move to a long life prepaid plan as a cheaper alternative to keep my mobile number for Australia. Telstra staff members are having trouble doing so as I have a data share sim they can’t seem to disconnect therefor stopping them from switching me from post to pre paid, how can this be resolved?

The only way to resolve it is to find someone within the Telstra support system that knows how to do it. You will need to ask them to escalate the problem.


Also, just be aware that you will not be able to use your service if you switch to Prepaid, as Telstra Prepaid services do not have access to International Roaming (since October 2020) until mid-2021. So if you need to be able to use the service, hold off on making the change until after the new Prepaid system is up and running.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
