Slugged $24 for calls to an Irish mobile phone
Hi all,
I've just been charged $24.28 on my mobile plan, for around 10 minutes of calls to a Irish mobile phone number (several of the calls are less than 5 seconds as they went to voicemail). Based on previous research, due to Northern Ireland being part of UK, I thought Telstra did not separate out Ireland and Northern Ireland, and hence calls to ALL of greater Ireland was covered under the definition of UK. I had no idea the international calls provision on my $129 plan (+MRO) was so limited!! The irony is that if I was roaming in Ireland (or NZ or Thailand etc!) ALL calls to Ireland and every other roaming destination are included! Is this madness and a classic "gotcha" or am I missing something?
