upgrading mobile and plan

help! I keep trying to upgrade my mobile and plan, it will say the order is confirmed but later that day ill get an email saying the order has been cancelled as they needed ID so I went into my local Telstra store to see if they could help and she confirmed my ID but because we are a small country town they did not have any of the phone I wanted left so I tried online again but It keeps cancelling it

Your local store should have been able to order one in for you. It shouldn't take more than 10 days to arrive (similar to an online order).

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
