ADSL and VDSL Gateway modems
The area I'm in is involved in a Fibre to the node (FTTN) trial roll-out.
I currently have a Telstra Technicolor Standard Business gateway/modem model 797v3 approx 6 months old.
My question is........
Will I need to upgrade my current gateway modem to a VDSL model to take advantage of possible increase in speed?
My current download speed is 2.5 Mbps and because of my proximity to a node I'm told I may be able to get upwards of 50Mbps when connected.

Re: ADSL and VDSL Gateway modems
The TG797v3 is compatible with NBN services, so you won't need to change modems to get better speed.
