Do you have the manual/user guide? If not, this might help..

This system is a Wi-Fi router and slaves. It should be possible to connect the WAN port on the Samsung main router/hub to a LAN port on the Smart Modem 2. From there it seems to use Wi-Fi or cable to connect to further Samsung hubs. Peripheral devices connect by Wi-Fi.

The issue might be that the Wi-Fi will be separate to the Wi-Fi on the Smart Modem 2 but it might cause conflicts. Take it slow, connect one hub only, by cable and see if that impacts the existing Wi-Fi you have. If you try to connect a mobile device with Wi-Fi, see what Wi-Fi networks are available for use.The Samsung one/s should be identifiable, and hopefully you will be able to see the previous smart Modem one/s as well. If you lose the previous Smart Modem network, turn the Samsung device OFF and see if they come back.

Adding 3rd party devices  is not part of Telstras support remit (unless at extra cost), that becomes the customers responsibility. If anything goes wrong, disconnect what ever you added and then check the Telstra network again.

Just to be clear, you cannot connect the Samsung equipment directly to FTTC, you MUST use the Telstra Smart Modem...

Thanks, connected the smartthings to LAN port on modem and the other 2 hubs on backhaul, through a 5 port switch, turned off wifi on Telstra modem. All works great.

Telstra Smart Modem

Plug in and connect in minutes. Smart.
