brother mc9340 fax not working

Hi,

My fax is stopped working since the nbn installed.

fax machine model: brother mfc9340

I searched for the solutions, and couldn't work out how to fix it?

Hi - if your fax machine is collocated near the Gen 2 modem and connected with an Ethernet cable, can you Scan the document to a nominated PC or Group Folder on your network and email it to the recipient? For standard residential applications, NBN does not officially guarantee fax machines will continue to work and refer people to their device providers for further information.

Suggest you contact Brother in case they have workaround data options or referrals to hosted Fax Service companies who convert scanned documents and resend them on traditional lines to national or international destinations.

If you are on an FTTP service, you can request a UNI-V service for your fax, otherwise switching to email (which a large number of companies have done) would be the simplest option.
