Change IP address of router 5355

Hi all, I'm trying to change my IP address on my router so I can use it as a secondary router to boost connection within my home. I have followed instructions in the YouTube link below https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NlYhKijXHsU

Seems pretty straight forward. others have found solutions but the instructions are not available anymore as the thread is nearly 3 years old.the instructions were uploaded on Google drive.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

@cf4 do you still have your unofficial manual for the 5355 available?

I am Complex Customer Service Specialist, nominally working with most assurance products. However, I am not an official representative on CrowdSupport.

Status update

I have changed the IP address from following the instructions.

I can get internet connection when I connect to my 5355 router via ethernet cable however I'm not able to connect wirelessly. Any suggestions to fix this?

Re: Change IP address of router 5355

What error message do you get trying to connect by WiFi? Have you turned of IPv6 in F@st5355 at Advanced > Internet settings and also turned of DHCP Advanced > Gateway Settings > DHCP?

Re: Change IP address of router 5355

No error messages. The network doesn't show up. I have turned off IPv6. In terms of DHCP, should I have it turned on or off?

DHCP should be turned off in the F@st5355.
