Changing from 5GHz to 2.4GHz.
I have a need to seperate the 5GHz to 2.4GHz Wifi on my Telstra smart modem. When I untick band steering the wifi network is nolonger visable upon search ,same if I untick 5GHz. I have to hard reset to get any wifi back.

Re: Changing from 5GHz to 2.4GHz.
Those symtoms indicate the 2.4 GHz WiFi is faulty. This is a common fault on the DJA0231 modem and will can only be fixed by replacing the modem. Model number is on the LHS of modem's log in page.

Re: Changing from 5GHz to 2.4GHz.
Ok thanks Cf4.
Mine is a Technicolor DJA0231
Hardest issue I have now is talking to someone at Telstra to actually get this under warranty
