Newbie question. I'm connecting a TP_Link to my Telstra Modem 2, wanting to keep the Telstra modem and wifi alive and run parallel to the TP_Link M9 wifi network.
I've stumbled at the first step. TP-link app wanting to connect the first base M9+ is asking me to specify my cabled network type as "Dynamic IP or PPPoE or Static IP or L2TP or PPTP or DS-lite"
I have no idea where to go.
If I enter in static ip and from my web details for the Telstra modem 2, i enter static ip address
the TP-link app then asks for
- subnet mask - I imagine this is the 255..... series
- Default gateway - I have no idea
- primary DNS - no idea
- secondary DNS optional - no idea
Help anyone?

Re: Connecting TP_Link M9+ AC2200 to Telstra Modem 2 (nbn)
"Dynamic IP is easiest option. Should then connect automatically.
If using Static IP
192.168.0.xx
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1
192.168.0.1 (Modems Default DNS) or 8.8.8.8 (Goole public DNS) or DNS service of your choice
192.168.0.1 (Modems Default DNS) or 8.8.4.4 (Goole public DNS)

Thank you for your response. I set to Dynamic IP and everything went well.
