Fttc and hfc nbn connection

Answered

I am trying to set up nbn.

Have received nbn connection device but original connection is cable and nbn device does not have plug for this.

Have FTTC but connection to gen2 goes through cable adapter that does not have phone line jack.

Telstra knows my internet connection why could they not provide appropriate technology for switch to nbn?

Re: Fttc and hfc nbn connection

Have you checked your address at https://www.nbnco.com.au/connect-home-or-business/check-your-address

If it says FTTC as the type of connection you will need a phone line. If you don't have a phone line contact Telstra and inform them you don't have an existing phone line.

Telstra is converting some cable areas to FTTC. Looks like you are in area that has been converted to FTTC. The NBN box connects to the telephone socket.
