For most connections the connection will do a cycle once per day or so, our old ADSL service used to do it about 1am every morning... so it is quite possible that it is just the modem cycling the connection.

Is it ADSL, NBN or Velocity?

It's ADSL but this rebooting has only started since this modem replaced one that was corrupted by that recent firmware upgrade that caused thousands of people to lose access. We were without ADSL for 12 days while Telstra decided how to fix it.

Do you have any programs set to do a back up or update at that time of day? It is also possible that it is related to a power issue. s there anything that happens between 6:45-7am each day within your home?

There's nothing else that would affect power. The problem began with this new modem. We lost ASDL on May 20th along with several hundred thousand others when our existing gateway 799 was corrupted by Telstras attempted upgrade. It took 12 days for a correct diagnosis and replacement of the modem. Now this new modem reboots itself every morning at 6:50 approx. nothing else has changed at home.
