Gateway Max password request

My Gateway Max (via 10.0.0.138) is requesting user name and password. I have entered details as for Myaccount but am told they are incorrect! Telstra tells me I shouldn't need to sign in.
Any ideas how I can access my Modem?

The login password for the modem isn't your telstra account details

 

try admin/admin, admin/password, or admin/"blank"

Thanks. I had tried 2/3. Unfortunately the third didn't work either so still no access to modem.

If thats the case your only other option would be to factory reset the modem and set it up again from scratch

I'll try that later. Not too hopeful though. Doesn't seem to have worked for others with the same issue....

Telstra rep rang and we did a factory reset on the modem and all seems fine! Apparently the modem can be adversely affected by updates......
