Gen 1 and Gen 2 Smart Modems

Hi all, is it possible to use a Testra Smart modem Gen 2 from another address at my current address which has a gen 1 modem?

You can use any compatible modem that you want to. The Telstra modem will configure itself based upon the connection (you may need to factory reset it).

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

  • There is a reset button on the back of modem near LAN plrt 2. Press for at least 10 seconds while modem is powered on. Modem will reboot reseting all settings to factory defaults.  The modem will automatically configure with your phone number when connectedconnected to a NBN connection. The SIM will also be linked to your account.
