Lack of Backup on DJA0231 modems

Not sure where this fit's in the support model as it's a mix.

I found a prior discussion on the lack of backup functionality. I've just been through the process of a factory reset by Telstra support without advance notice. An ongoing issue that support is ill equiped to resolve so far. Given the time that can be spent setting up port forwarding, parental controls etc the lack of backup capability is in my view really poor. If backup restoration presents Telstra problems perhaps they could implement a version that their processes used and put the checks in place to deal with settings which might prevent support communicating with the modem. A lack of care/understanding on the part of frontline support combined with no options for the end user to do it themselves is not a reasonable solution.
