Limited error on WiFi Access

Answered

I have an HP Pavilion Laptop running Windows 8.1, with a built-in Ralink Network Adapter which provides WiFi access to a Wireless router. A few weeks ago, Internet access disappeared. I could still connect to the Internet via an Ethernet cable via Hotspot on phone and no issues with other users.

I have read other chats and see there was an update to the Telstra Modem adding a Firmware Protected Management Frames which is enabled by default.

Comments have been made that turnig this " Off " fixes this connection issue

Can anyone tell me where and how to turn the Protected Management Frames " Off "

Thank you Smiley Happy

Turning of PMF might fix the problem. To turn of PMF open a Web browser on device connected to modem and go to http://192.168.0.1, password is Telstra. Go to Advanced > WiFi, on each WiFi network look for a setting called PMF or protected management frames, turn off and save settings.
