multi ISP Internet port agregation

Hello.  I have a current very poor FTTN Inernet connection with Telstra.  I have just installed Starlink and was hoping to use both so I had fast ping and good speed by connecting then to my Netgear RAX70 which can handle this but its not working.  Netgear seem to think both modems need to have LACD protocol.  Does the telstra modem have this?  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Short answer is no.

I work for Telstra, but my opinions are my own and not that of Telstras

Re: multi ISP Internet port agregation

You would also need an Internet service that supports >1GBps. This is Australia, so the odds on finding one is close to nil (and impossible on FTTN).

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Telstra Smart Modem

Plug in and connect in minutes. Smart.
