NBN set up and problems
I received my NBN modem today after get an email saying that I would yesterday. In part of the email it says the following
Our initial checks show your home is ready to connect to the nbn network. So, once you receive your connection kit, all you need to do is replace your current Gateway modem with the new Gateway and phone included and we’ll start moving you across. Your existing broadband and voice services will continue working while we organise your move. Once your home is connected, you’ll receive an SMS or email confirming your move is complete.
As per instructions I set it up. turned the modem on and waited for all the lights to come on which it did. The problem was that when I went online I had no connection. Telstra have informed me that I am still on a copper line. What is going on. I also have two phone points in my house and disconnected all other phones.
