New smart modem gen 2 on ADSL
I received and installed my Gen 2 Smart Modem a few days ago. We had a line problem after a lightening strike which was fixed by a Tech. But the modem will not turn over from backup mode. All lights at the back of the modem here green, with the exception of the mobile signal which goes from orange to green intermittently. The light on the front of the modem is still showing that it’s running on the Mobile backup connection (blue) ... How can I turn off backup mode to broadband. Is this an authentication issue and if so how can I rectify this.

Re: New smart modem gen 2 on ADSL
It is a authentication problem probably due to wrong user name and password. To fix this log into modem (http:192.168.0.1, password is Telstra), go to Broadband and enter your bigpond user name and password in the PPP settings.
