Phone disconnecting from WIFI causes modem to reboot

Hi, I have a Technicolor DJA0230TLS modem. It works great until I leave the house (with my mobile) or turn off the WIFI on my phone (Samsung S20 FE - but it used to happen with my previous phone too, a Xioami Mi 9T). The modem fully turns off and turns back on again - lights out, then back on and a click heard. Band Steering is turned off and my 5G is set up with a different SSID. Any idea what is causing this? I am starting to uninstall each app and then turn off WIFI on my phone but this is tedious as the modem is so slow to come back online! Thanks! Emma

Re: Phone disconnecting from WIFI causes modem to reboot

I don't think it is due to a app on the phone. It might be due to another WiFi device on the network. Try turning off all WiFi devices and if rebooting due WiFi on phone turning off stops, reconnect WiFi devices untill rebooting starts. Also if you have WiFi direct enabled on phone try turning WiFi direct on the phone off.

One other thing you could try is turning of Protected Management Frames in the modem's Advanced Wi-Fi settings.

Plug in and connect in minutes. Smart.
