port forwards are not working

try as I might I cannot get the ports I have forwarded to be seen externally

set port fwds in modem (FAST5355-A)

check ports , ports closed


do I have to buy another modem and get rid of the supplied telstra one ?

In most cases were there has been problems with getting port forwarding to work it is due to the ports not being open on the device the ports are being port forwarded to. Have you checked that the ports are open on the device. You can do this using a port forwarding app checker. Install the port forwarding app on a device connected to your local network and then check if the ports are open on the device using its local IP address. A free port checking app that is available for both IOS and Android devices is Fing.
