Either call 1800 834 273 and get your Home Broadband service fixed,  or go to https://fix.telstra.com and run  through the troubleshooter to see if those steps fix the problem. 

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
