Has any body else noticed that the Network Share of Technicolor version of the Gen 2 Modem (DJA0231) are no longer visible n file managers. To access the network share the IP address of the share has to be used (example \\192.168.0.1). The other thing I have noticed is the shares can no longer be accessed using the Share name (Default \\Technicolor-Gen2-Modem\). See image below.

After much testing aided by @Mkrtich final found what was causing the problem and why no one else has experienced the same problem. There are two bugs in modem's firmware (18.1.c.0585-MR7.1-RA).
- The first bug results in the network share name not changing when changed in modem's settings. Example if the File server name in modem's settings is changed to Technicolor-Gen2-Modem it still appears on the network as the default name of Testra-Modem.
- The second bug causing the network share to be invisible when the LAN IP address is changed. For example when setting the modem's LAN IP address to 192.168.178.1 the modem's network file share is no longer visible in Windows File explorer or any other File manager. Attached devices can only be accessed using the modem's network file share IP address (\\192.168.178.1\), they can not be accessed using the modem's network file share URL (\\Telstra-Modem).

Re: Technicolor version Telstra Gen 2 Smart Modem DJA023 Network Shares no longer visible.
Thanks for your reply. Judging by the lack of other replies it appears that I am the only one with the problem. As there is an easy work around of entering the address manually I will not be pursuing the matter any further.
