Telstra Gateway Max Netgear C6300BD-1TLAUS - WIFI won't work.

I'm trying to use a Telstra Gateway Max Netgear C6300BD-1TLAUS  to connect to a our office Ethernet, and then WIFI to devices.  I can get the Gateway to work with the Ethernet and use a LAN cable to my computer, but I can't get the WIFI part to work.  Does the Gateway need to be reconfigured ? or is something else wrong ?

Appreciate your help!

Is the 2.4 and 5g lights lit up on the Gateway Max?
If not, press the WiFi button

Yes 2.4 and 5g lights are lit up on the Gateway Max. Nothing happens when I press the WiFi button... the light beside the WiFi button doesn't light up.

Well you could try restarting it by power on and off. I'm not sure if this applies but with the TG797nv3 modem/router, Telstra would only let you use either a wifi or an ethernet network, but not both at the same time.

If the WiFi lights are lit on the modem then the network is active. What happens when you search for the Telstra network (listed on the install card and printed on the modem) and try to connect to it?

I'm trying to access a non Telstra network. Could this be the problem ?

Thanks. I'm trying to use the Gateway to access a non-telstra network. The ethernet is accessing a non Telstra network, could this be why the Wi fi isn't working ? I'm not sure if the Gateway is only configured for the Telstra network..

Hi Cindy9; the netgear modems supplied by Telstra will only work on the Telstra network. You'll need to discuss hardware requirements with your office's ISP - Matthew.
