Telstra Smartmodem Gen2 (I think)

Hi, I have just had elctricians replace the data cable from the outside connection box (attached to the house) to a point where my modem is attached to. Whereas before I would have a Green light on the front, it is now Blue.

My speeds are slightly down and I did an online connection check with Telstra and it said my connection had issues. Can some kindly advise me whjat might be the problem. Thanks, Ray

Your landline connection is not working. Sounds like the electricians may have wired the new cable up incorrectly.

The blue light means that the modem is running on LTE(4G) backup.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Thanks Jupiter, spot on. There was 2 lines into the house (one unused) and they wired up the wrong one. They came back and wired up the correct set and now all good.

Telstra Smart Modem

Plug in and connect in minutes. Smart.
