TG797VN File Sharing

Plugging in larger small dirves to the router USB port, works, in that it is recongised, file sharing enabled and \\10.0.0.138 shows the drive and contents.  But it is FILE SHARING.... it seems writng to the drive is not allowed!

AM I missing something.  One has to fill the drive attached to the PC.  You cannot write to it on the lan..

This is very restrictive.  Surely a mistake.  I cannot see a menu to enable a username and password for read/write permissions.

I very much hope I am missing something silly.  I fear not.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help
