Trying to change my exsiting plan to prepaid keeping the same no.

Hello all, I am trying to change my existing out of contract plan to a pre-paid service as I want to keep the same no. My issues are: The Telstra app has never worked on my phone, countless re-installs and waiting over months it still does not work saying "We cannot display your account" and as we all know trying to contact anyone via their phone service does not get you very far with these issues. Does anybody have a solution? I've tried the normal contact no. the pre-paid no, virtual assistant, live chat that seems to be down or bugged. TIA.


Edit: I have purchased a prepaid sim starter pack.
