Using a TG800vac modem as a Wi-fi extender

Answered

I currently have Wireless NBN connection to my home and am using a Telstra GEN2 Model DJA0231 modem.  My GEN 2 modem replaced a Telstra supplied TG800vac modem which originally came when our Wireless NBN was connected in 2016.

Rather than disposing of this older modem (TG800vac) I am seeking info on whether it can be used as a Wi-fi extender, and if so, how the two modems are setup to work interactively with each other?

Re: Using a TG800vac modem as a Wi-fi extender

Unfortunately the TG800 can only be used as a WiFi access point but not as a WiFi extender. It can only be connect to the DJA0231 using a wired connection. Can't connect to DJA0231 by WiFi.
