Want to unlock Telstra Mobile Device
I need help with unlock a telstra device - I have a plan on it but intend to end it and use another provider. Can you please contact me asap and help me with unlocking it or should I go into a Telstra shop?

Is it a Post Paid or Pre Paid device and what sort of device - handset or mobile broadband device?
Too many devices, probably an addict :-) also a tinkerer and developer of stuff..

There are option for Pre and Post Paid.. but Post Paid devices are generally not network locked at present - an older device might be.
You will need the device IMEI number too..
For pre paid, you pay a fee based on how old the device is..

Its a mobile usb broadband, I've had this like for many years but decided to put a pre-paid plan on it, but I found a better plan and instead of buying a new mobile broadband device, i'm happy to pay the $25. Yes this is an older device - I have the IMEI and the serial number - but just the way to unlock it is strange, its asking for login details yet I already have an telstra account. Do you think I can go into the telstra store tomorrow to unlock instead?

You can only try, not all stores have good tech support though.. was the device originally pre or post paid?

If its networked locked, which I doubt, Stores are not empowered to do so. Telstra have a specialist Unlocking Department normally contactable on 132200. The bigger issue is whether the network you're going to use the same frequencies which is unlikely plus other fixed settings to suit Telstra
