Broken phone line with NBN ordered

I have ordered NBN FTTC with technician booked in to come in a couple of weeks. The copper cable has not been used for a long time (previously used cable internet and no phone) and was recently significantly broken by plumbers (most likely require a new cable). Who do I speak with about a new lead-in cable? - Telstra or NBN?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Broken phone line with NBN ordered

The lead-in has to be organised though Telstra (NBN Co does the actual work). You are responsible for getting the conduit from the house to the property boundary replaced though, so you should organise that first with a local contractor.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Moving Home

We can help you move your existing Telstra services or set up new ones at your new address.
