No phone socket

Hi,

I just moved and the house is a little older. Iv looked everywhere and can’t seem to find a phone socket anywhere.

I have someone coming out to connect NBN but will they be able to install a phone socket Aswel? do I even need a phone socket for the internet?
we have fibre to the curb.

Was this helpful?

Re: No phone socket

Assuming you intend to have a telephone service (and making presumptions about how Telstra will provide you with a service), any telephone you have - DECT or otherwise - plugs into the green PSTN socket on the back of the supplied Telstra gateway.  I've connected two DECT handsets and three older (wired) phones to mine on HFC NBN.

Re: No phone socket

I don’t actually plan on using the telephone I just thought you needed the socket to enable you to use the internet?
