So hard to speak to a human being

I called Telstra 2 weeks ago to order a new home phone for our newly constructed house.

I was told to order it myself using the online function.

Finally worked out how to do it (I think) and got an email with a reference number.

Two weeks has passed any heard nothing, so thought I'd give Telstra a call today to check on the progress.

 

How hard is it to find a phone number for support!!?? It seems that Telstra hates talking to me as much as I hate talking to them Smiley Sad I keep being re-directed back to the web page. BUT I WANT TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE.

 

I found a spot on the web page that says "moving in the next five day call 1800 ..." So I called that. Seems that wasn't the right number? Was given a different number to call.  Now been on hold for 45 minutes. Is it lunch time in INDIA?

 

If I ran my business like Telstra runs theirs then I would have gone broke within weeks.
