Transfer account info and number to new sim

Hello,

 

I misplaced my mobile phone and can't readily get to a store and need my phone for work.

 

Question is- I have purchased another Telstra SIM card from Woolworths, can I activate it to my account info and mobile number myself/online or would I have to go in to a store?

 

I have been waiting for a response on the Telstra app chat all afternoon and couldn't get through on the phone.

No, the SIM pack that you bought is for a new service with its own number allocated to it.

 

Quickest way is to go into a Telstra Store and they can replace your SIM on the spot.

 

The other way is to get Telstra to send a new one out.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
