How to connect an existing MyTelstraID to a new service


I had a telstra account, with a working myTelstra ID

2 years ago I ported my number into my work, and now i have ported it back out to a consumer account, but for the life of me I cant log in to the app, Ive tried numerous tries to get telstra to fix it to no avail and i need a sanity check, is it me doing something wrong or am i missing something

the conversation with sales wasnt as bad, but again resulted in recommending recovering my id, doing a password reset, logging in from a different device.


anyone got any thoughts how i can get this issue sorted, or maybe escalated to somebody that knows how the systems work?
