“Restore e-SIM” function on myTelstra app is not working
Hi guys, I just received my sparkling new Iphone12 mini in New Zealand and want to add my Australian Telstra account as e-SIM. Chatting to Telstra recently I was told that this would be super easy by using the “Transfer or re-store eSIM” functionality on the MyTelstra app.
Unfortunately, I have now tried a dozen times to no avail as it always tells me “There’s been a technical problem” once I try and follow the steps on the app. Tried deleting and re-installing the app, switching the phone off and on, trying a different WiFi network, all does not work.
As I am currently stuck on the other side of the Tasman, I really need the eSIM to work as I cannot carry around two phones the entire time. Can anyone help please?

I’m in the same boat as Sydneyberlin, but the mytelstra chat told me I had to go into a Telstra shop. It’s not possible as I’m overseas as well.
