Broadband and nbn

Hi I am having trouble with my new Telstra wifi modem and nbn, I had installed the nbn and have waited up to 3 days now and it still isn’t doing anything ? Is there something I might have missed in the steps to connect or is there a longer wait for the nbn to work ?
