iOS and Android apps randomly blocked depending on location and tower

We are an American company with iOS and Android apps used by Telstra customers to access their wildlife cameras.  We have had these apps in-use by Telstra customers for a number of years.   Just recently we have users randomly reporting their inability to stream their cameras via their mobile data.  It works flawlessly via land based Internet or even iPad cellular data connections.  The issue seems to lie with iPhone or Android mobile data.    The strange thing is that a user can test the app in location 1 with 5G coverage and it works.  They can travel to location 2 that is 4G or 3G and it doesn't work.  They can travel back to the original Location 1 back on 5G and it will no longer work.   Others never experience any issues at all in their locations.   We see issues in NSW and Queensland at the moment.  The application uses webrtc to stream video using a combination of ports, which is not an issue with any other AUS cellular companies, nor any US based cell data connections.  It seems to be a hit and miss situation with Telstra.    Anyone experiencing strange connectivity issues relatively similiar?

Does your system handle IPv6 only connections (which are being rolled out here on the mobile network)?

Your users may need to use an IPv6 complaint VPN (such as Cloudflare's) to get the connection to work (it can provide a connection to an IPv4 service).

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

It doesn't but it cannot be IPV6 because part of the application works.  It is just the streaming portion that does not.  Auth and all API calls are successful.

What Telstra APN setting are the customers experiencing issues using?.

And what is the Telstra APN setting used by customers not experiencing problems?.

 

Also, in a situation where/when the camera access is unavailable (on the Telstra mobile network), does reconnecting to the mobile network (by say temporarily enabling Airplane mode) help?.
