No verification sms after porting

After porting my phone number from Optus to Telstra on Friday I’ve had a major issue in not receiving my verification codes via SMS such as the ones from Telstra Binge, trying to redeem. Ebay, banking etc. I cannot do anything as I have two factor setup on most accounts. Need help. Optus said ring Telstra and Telstra said Iphone fault ALl worked fine until port on friday morning. Normal sms all okay.

It sounds like Optus haven't completed the port from their side. They need to update the numbering database to put a redirect on it so that incoming calls look to the Telstra network for your service instead or Optus.

 

You will need to contact Telstra and ask them to request Optus to finish the porting process properly.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
