Telstra says there are no outages in our suburb 4300 yet there are a few of us in our street with no Telstra phone coverage. Broadband, wireless ok.


I can't contact Telstra. Have been kept waiting for someone on My Telstra app

Do you have WiFi Calling enabled in settings?.

Here is an FAQ on it

Once it’s working you can try call Telstra Support on 132200 using your WiFi.

It's most probable that the tower that serves you is being upgraded for 5G. It usually takes 1 to 2 weeks per tower and then they initially operate on lower power until they complete the surrounding towers in the celll structure.

That postcode covers at least 8 suburbs, so it's difficult to even figure out if there may be something going on in your area. How long has the problem been occurring?

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

You can attempt to self serve here as long as you have a wifi connection:

If this tool finds an issue with your service this is then reported to Telstra. Obviously the more people that report a fault the quicker Telstra will pick up on it. 

Otherwise ensure you have done basic troubleshooting yourself; eg: reboot device, network reset.
