Telstra Network compatibility

Hi! I'm overseas and I'm thinking about buying a new phone (Xiaomi 9 Note Pro).

Could you please tell me the compatibility with Telstra? (see phone details below)

Cheers!

Re: Telstra Network compatibility

2G is obsolete, we haven't had 2G networks in Australia for a few years now.

3G is OK. Telstra uses the 850MHz band

4G will work in some locations. That phone doesn't work on Band 28 (700MHz) which is the primary 4G frequency in use in most locations. Telstra also uses Bands 1, 3, 7 & 8.

So the Xiomi 9 Note Pro that you are looking at will only work on 4G (and VoLTE probably won't work) where there is Bands 1, 3, or 8 available

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
