The year is coming to a close and the festive season is here! With 2019 just days away, what better time than now to take a look back at the year that was for CrowdSupport!

 

We’ve spent the last 12 months keeping you up-to-date and informed with all the latest product launches and announcements, and sharing loads of how-to content to help you find the answers you’re searching for.

 

Here’s just a few of our highlights from what has been another amazing year:


New Members

Since the start of the year, we have had nearly 100,000 members join our community! Welcome to each and every one of our new members, and thank you to all 445,000 of you who are part of the CrowdSupport community.

 

The 2019 Brains Trust

We’re excited to have just announced the members that will be joining the CrowdSupport Brains Trust program in 2019! We have selected the 9 most influential, helpful and active contributors from the last 12 months to be involved, recognising them for their stellar efforts assisting others by inviting them to this exclusive group.

I’d like to also take a moment to thank our Brains Trust members from this year, many of who are also joining us in 2019. The community truly would not be what it is without your valuable contributions, so thank you!

 

The newest product and offers

We’ve continued to keep our community members up-to-date with all the latest through the year, including device launches and new services available from Telstra. We’ve told you all about the Google Pixel 3™ and Pixel 3 XL™ and the newest iPhones, as well as new Telstra products, like the Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 and Kayo, Australia’s newest sports streaming platform, plus many more.


Helping you find solutions

Throughout the year, we’ve shared countless how-to and support articles, helping you find the answers you’re searching for with ease. We’ve placed an even greater focus on listening to our community members and understanding the kinds of questions you are asking to provide content that can help you find an answer quickly and easily.

We’ve helped you better understand International Day Pass, how to locate a device with Telstra Device Locator ™ and what the lights on your Telstra Smart Modem mean.

We’ve also shared some of our favourite ways you can make the most of the My Telstra App, such as setting up a direct debit, viewing your bill history, and accessing Mobile Support.

In 2019, we’ll continue to tailor our how-to and support articles to you, and hopefully make it even easier than ever for you to find solutions.

 

Our tips for online safety and security

In November, we announced our Active Scams page, keeping you as up-to-date as possible with all the active scams and frauds we are aware of. We’ll continue to update this page regularly as we receive new information from our security teams.

We’ve shared our advice for keeping your kids safe online, understanding illegal mobile number porting, and how to use smart home technology to keep an eye on your home.

We’ll continue to place importance on your safety and security, and do our best to help you avoid scams, frauds and hoaxes.
