Why you’ll love Google Pixel 5

Super-fast downloads. Ready when you are.

With 5G, you can download your favourite movies on the go and start watching before you know it.

5G now rolling out in selected areas on selected plans. To access the 5G network, you’ll need a 5G compatible device in a 5G coverage area. View the
5G coverage map to see where 5G is available and when it will be coming to your area. Subscriptions may be required.

A battery that lasts all day.
Pixel’s Adaptive Battery learns your favourite apps and reduces power to the ones that you rarely use. This limits background battery usage and helps your phone to last longer.

For 'All day': Maximum battery life based on testing using a mix of talk, data, standby and use of other features. Testing was conducted on two major carrier networks using Sub-6 GHz non-standalone 5G (ENDC) connectivity. Testing was conducted on two major carrier networks. Pixel 5 battery testing conducted by a third party in California in mid 2020 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings, except that, for the 'up to 48 hour claim' only, Extreme Battery Saver mode was enabled. Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. Actual battery life may be lower.

Add an extra day to your all-day battery.
Extreme Battery Saver helps your Pixel to last up to 48 hours when you really need it. This mode automatically limits active apps to just the essentials and lets you choose additional apps that you want to keep on. The rest get turned off.

For 'Up to 48 hours': Maximum battery life is based on testing using a mix of features including talk, data and standby, and limited use of other features that are set as the default in Extreme Battery Saver mode (which disables various features including 5G connectivity). Testing was conducted on two major carrier networks. Pixel 5 battery testing conducted by a third party in California in mid 2020 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings, except that, for the 'up to 48 hour claim' only, Extreme Battery Saver mode was enabled. Top-notch photos. Taken up a notch.
HDR+ makes your photos look better by automatically adjusting for colour and lighting.

The best light for your portraits.
Portrait Mode lets you capture beautiful portraits that focus on your subject as the background fades into an artful blur. If the lighting isn’t right, your Pixel can drop in extra light to illuminate your subjects.

Can take a splash.
Pixel 5 doesn’t mind a little water or dust. The metal unibody can handle being submerged in 1.5 metres of fresh water for 30 minutes.

Pixel 5 has a dust and water protection rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529. Charger and accessories are not water-resistant or dust-resistant. Water and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and may be compromised due to normal wear and tear, repair, disassembly or damage.

Be there, without being there.
Get closer to the people that you love with ultra-clear HD screen sharing in Duo video calls. So you can watch the same video, cheer on sports with a friend and even plan activities – no matter how far apart you are.

Screen sharing not available on group calls. Requires Wi-Fi or 5G internet connection. Not available on all apps and content. Data rates may apply. 5G service, speed and performance depend on many factors including, but not limited to, carrier network capabilities, device configuration and capabilities, network traffic, location, signal strength, and signal obstruction.

Google Assistant. A little help wherever you go.
Use Google Assistant to manage your daily tasks, get proactive help at the right time and in the right place, control your phone and apps and much more.

Google Assistant and some related features are not available in all languages. See g.co/assistant/languages for updates to language availability. Requires an Internet connection.

Stay secure with guaranteed updates.
Automatically receive the latest OS and security updates for at least 3 years. Updates download entirely in the background, so you can continue using your phone without any interruption.

Android version updates for at least three years from when the device first became available on the Google Store in the US. See g.co/pixel/updates for details.

I received a call on Wednesday and finally spoke to a person. they advised and promised it would all be resolved by today.. its nearly 5pm and no resolution.. I'm soo done with Telstra.

I have raised it with ombudsman. https://www.tio.com.au/contact-us.  they have given Telstra till the 18th Nov to resolve.

I suggest if you have waited longer than 3 days you do the same.

Hey Alfc, Have you been able to check in with the support team by going to this page: https://tel.st/vmvn6

MammaB, have you even read the posts in this forum?? If you are going to suggest something how about you actually read them carefully and provide something useful.  But then again, this is just like all the support provided by Telstra, completely useless.

These people have bought the pixels direct with Telstra and have nothing to do with the Google store. Telstra sell the Pixel on a month to month plan and it comes with a free nest which you aren't providing the promtional code for them  to order via Google. Given your customers are on a month to month plan, how many do you think are actually going to stay with you after this?

If you are thinking of buying a Pixel don't buy it from Telstra, do yourself a favor and follow MammaB link and buy it direct with Google.

I understand what you are saying however, I was referring to the Google Nest and you will need to redeem the Google Nest Hub Max by adding the Google Nest Hub Max to your cart on the Google Store and apply your promo code where prompted in checkout in order to have the device discounted to $0. If you check the details listed here https://tel.st/qqc5p and scroll down to 'Things you need to know' for further confirmation.

Wigs1 spot on. I'm already organising to move my familly other 2 services away from Telstra and then my broadband.

MammaB have you actually bothered to read these posts? No one is getting the promo code from Telstra. This is not a Google problem... Just Telstra offering their usual level of customer service... Zero.

So the plot thickens.. TIO have given Telstra till the 18th Nov to resolve .. I missed a call at 2pm yesterday Avro from my Telstra case manager stating that I should have received my code and if not to get back in contact with them via the Telstra SMS App..

I reached out via the app and asked them to please get the case manager to call me..

This was there response.

Hi. Thank you for contacting us today. Checking the case you provided above, I can see that this is already handled by TIO - Level 1. This means Telstra should already be hands off on this matter and we would need for the Ombudsman to action this. I suggest that you wait for them to contact you to resolve this matter.

So how do actually get to talk to someone? Well done Telstra..

Hi @Alfc,

Do you have the Case reference number for your formal complaint?

Does anyone else on this forum get any help? I've had 8 online chat sessions and get no help at all. I have support reference numbers and also a ombudsman complaint reference number.
