How do I add another mailbox to my Telstra account?

Eligible Telstra customers can request a Telstra email address and mailbox. You can also add up to 14 more mailboxes to your account, each with a different email address.

 

You also get 10GB of storage space to use across your mailboxes.

 

Before you add or close a mailbox:

You'll need your primary Telstra email address and password.

Forgotten something? Retrieve your email address or password here.

 

Add a mailbox:

  1. Sign in to Telstra 24x7 My Account  using your Telstra ID
  2. If you have more than one account, you will need to select the relevant account from the blue bar at the top of the screen. You will need a primary Telstra email address attached to the account
  3. Ensure that the account you have selected has an existing mailbox
  4. Select Manage next to the existing mailbox
  5. Next to Manage mailboxes select Add Mailbox
  6. Enter the username you want, then select Check to confirm its availability
  7. If you username is available, enter a password that complies with the password parameters
  8. Select Confirm. Allow 30 minutes for your new mailbox to be set up.

Close a Mailbox:

  1. Sign in to Telstra 24x7 My Account  using your Telstra ID
  2. If you have more than one account, you will need to select the relevant account from the blue bar at the top of the screen
  3. Scroll down and find the existing mailbox, then select Manage
  4. Click the mailbox you want to close and then select Close mailbox
  5. Select Confirm. Allow 30 minutes for your mailbox to be closed.

 

Reopen a Mailbox:
If you closed a mailbox in the last 6 months and you are an existing Telstra customer, you can contact us to see if it can be re-opened.  

Good to know:

  • Mailboxes closed more than 6 months ago are not available anymore.
