I don’t know if this year has gone by superfast or if it has been the longest year in recorded history but either way 2017 is coming to a close and it’s time to go recharge the batteries. I for one will be spending a lot of time eating, drinking and generally being merry!

On behalf of all our Community Managers here at CrowdSupport, I would like to thank all of our members who contributed to the forums this year as well as wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We couldn’t do what we do to such a high standard without your valuable contributions every day.

I hope you all will be able to spend some time celebrating with your friends and family. For those of you that are lucky enough to have to work over the holidays, hopefully it's not too busy!

2017: A year in review

Rank Changes – We launched our new ‘Detective’ theme rank structure in April. We added levels to the ranks so you can instantly see how ranks relate to each other. The first 20 ranks are progressively more difficult to achieve and are based on Posts, Kudos and Solutions. We have also included 5 Legend ranks, which are levels 21-25, and these are exponentially harder to attain to challenge even the most active contributors.

The Brains Trust launch – We launched our new super user program called ‘The Brains Trust’. The Brains Trust are the 10 most influential, helpful and/or active contributors to CrowdSupport over the last 12 months.  You can read more here about The Brains Trust and how you can earn this elite title!

New Device Update Tool – Way back in January we launched our new Device Update Tool to make it simpler to find out what version of software is available for you mobile or tablet, the Telstra testing status and when upcoming updates have been approved for released. This was all based on feedback we received from all of you! You can read more about how the Device Update Tool works here.

Device Insider – There was a veritable smorgasbord of high end devices that were provided to our Brains Trust to review for you, the people! These included the LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC U11, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Telstra TV 2, Google Pixel 2, Netgear Nighthawk M1

45,000 New Members – 2017 saw 45,000 new members join the CrowdSupport family. To all of you I say WELCOME! I hope to see some of you cracking the ranks of Brains Trust soon!

CrowdSupport Redesign – As you may have noticed that CrowdSupport has had a complete redesign from top to bottom. This has only recently launched on Friday 15th Dec 2017. There is too many changes to list off here but this could not have been possible without a HUGE contribution from our Supreme Community Overlord @DanK who was the driving force behind the re-structure, design and deployment of the new look CrowdSupport. Honourable mentions to @Yannick, @MargieDee @Gamgees, @TimBartel @TommyR all of whom contributed to the redesign along the way.

It’s been a great year and once again I would like to thank each and every one of our members, whether you only come to CrowdSupport when you need help or if you contribute multiple times a day, you all help keep our community thriving as one of the biggest and best community forums in Australia.

My gift arrived yesterday, with big bang from the postman on my door even though I have bell there Smiley Very Happy... Thanks! Being really picky on how I listen to my large collection of classical music, I am incredibly suprised how good the sound of this little baby ( UE Wonderboom Bluetooth speaker) is!

Level 23: Superhero

So true, have friends with those things and it's crazy the quality of the sound.. I believe the UE booms can be linked together to some crazy number and create a super speaker/s.

Thanks for the gifts!  An entirely unexpected little reward for helping those I can - which in itself is rewarding enough when you get some praise and a few kudos.

It's very gratifying indeed to be No 17, as in October 2017, I only posted for a very few days.   I have only restarted during the Christmas/New Year week.

It's so gratifying to have someone say "thank you" or express their appreciation with a kudos. Thank you to our senior moderator Deanna, who quietly keeps this forum well managed. Congratulations to Smiley...who  is very deserving of being No 6.... and her very thorough test of a Samsung S8 was of a  very high standard indeed....which I say with authority, having previously been employed by 2 mobile phone  manufacturers testing new model phones,  for many years.
